Nothing thrives on its own.
The tree does not give shade or fruit because it is generous, in a moral sense, but because giving is how the ecosystem survives. Birds eat, seeds scatter, soil is enriched, and the tree endures. When done in balance with the quiet reciprocity of all beings, the ecosystem may move beyond survival; it may thrive.
Is it possible to truly grasp the interconnectedness of the ultimate ecosystem of our entire planet? Every action we take, even here on our small campus, sends out subtle ripples that touch far more than we imagine.

Supporting Oak Grove School
Our Annual Appeal
From its very inception, Oak Grove School was founded in a field of generosity. Our campus grew from the vision and care of those who believed in a radically different style of education – one that serves as a force for transforming humanity. We are deeply grateful to those who have contributed to this field of generosity by making a donation to the Annual Fund. It is only through your involvement and generosity that our school can continue to thrive.

Winter 2025
High School Showcase
Oak Grove High School’s Art & Music Showcase celebrates the creativity of our students in a wide variety of arts elective classes. Families, students, and friends enjoyed snacks and refreshments from our kitchen while mingling among the displays of studio art, ceramics, woodworking, and photography. The expressive dance and music performances that followed highlighted the skill, dedication, and growth of our students this semester.

Service Initiatives
Our High School Student Council recently held a Change for Change fundraiser in support of HELP of Ojai and Ojai Rising. Students collected spare change and nonperishable food items from families across all grades, all of which were donated to the HELP of Ojai food pantry to support local individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.

Author, Norman Ollestad
Thank you to author Norman Ollestad for speaking with the high school and middle school students about his new book SOLE SURVIVOR. This edition of the book was co-written with Brendan Kiely and written for young readers. The story is based on his harrowing experience surviving a plane crash when he was just 11 years old.

K Quote
"Does the body, the physical organism, have its own intelligence? It has when all the senses are acting together in harmony so that there is no straining, no emotional or sensory demands of desire. When one is hungry one eats, but usually taste, formed by habit, dictates what one eats. So fragmentation takes place. A healthy body can be brought about only through the harmony of all the senses, which is the intelligence of the body itself."
