Which teacher in your life affected you greatly? How?

June Lane, dance teacher from Santa Barbara High School. June had worked with Martha Graham, a modern dance pioneer. June Lane taught modern dance classes during my High School years and I took it instead of PE. I was deeply inspired by her and dancing was highly therapeutic. Later, I became a Dance Movement Therapist thanks to her.

I am a member of the DAR society and have a Revolutionary War ancestor.

What is your most bizarre OGS experience?

Bizarre? What exactly does this mean to you? Having hawk Lucky live near the lower school playground is fantastic and rare.

My nephew (as a three-year-old) was asked, “Are you a vegetarian?” He answered, “No, I am a sausage.”
