How many years have you worked at Oak Grove?

Since 2008.

Why do you work at Oak Grove?

I work at Oak Grove because of the connection between our vision and our results. What we say we do actually happens!

Where is your special spot on campus?

Gazing out from the Main House toward the Gazebo — the mountains in the background, the yards, the trees, the garden, etc. combine to make an environment that rivals the most beautiful parks.

Coffee or Tea?

I’m the odd bird who doesn’t drink any type of hot drink.

How do we prepare students for their life ahead?

We help students find their voice. Our graduates are able to speak up, express their opinion, ask meaningful questions, and inquire into what piques their curiosity or gives them pause.

Name something that nobody knows about you.

I was obsessed with covered wagons and the Oregon Trail as a child. I had a collection of wagons — from models to rugs to cologne bottles to lamps.

Name a place you’ve always wanted to visit, but haven’t yet.

I want to rent a modern VW camper and travel throughout rural Europe visiting the smaller, less-visited, and more nature-inspired sites.
