Secondary school outdoor movie night for 7th-12th grade hosted by Besant House. Students can invite guests/friends and are encouraged to bring comfy chairs and/or blankets. Staff will be present. Movie title will be announced via email next week.
Oak Grove High School is sponsoring a day trip to visit the Claremont Colleges, a consortium of five undergraduate liberal arts colleges and two graduate institutions. The undergraduate colleges include Pomona College, Scripps College, Claremont McKenna College, Harvey Mudd College, and Pitzer College. The seven independent institutions offer rigorous curricula, small classes, distinguished professors, and personalized instruction in a vibrant residential college community that provides intensive interaction between students and faculty. Transportation will be provided, but limited space is available and is on a first-come, first-serve basis for students in grades 10-12. Parents will have an opportunity to share their family media plan and discuss various approaches to electronics use. We will also explore recommendations on appropriate and safe electronics use from a variety of sources.

How do we separate the facts from the fiction? What is it really like these days when it comes to applying to college? And how do we embrace this process with clarity, sanity, and maybe even some fun?
