Oak Grove School seeks to create and sustain a learning community that reflects the diversity of Ventura County, including socioeconomic diversity. Our School Board is dedicated to providing significant resources to the school’s financial aid budget, which allows us to offer aid to as many qualifying families as possible. Currently over 30% of our families receive tuition support.
Financial Aid
Financial aid applications for prospective students are submitted during the admission application process. Families complete a Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) online and submit a copy of their most recent federal tax return including all schedules and W-2s. This application is required annually.
To facilitate a confidential and equitable experience for families, Oak Grove uses FACTS, a third-party service, for need-based financial aid analysis. FACTS offers families a secure online application system, and information that is entered into FACTS is shared confidentially with Oak Grove’s Financial Aid Committee. Financial aid recipient information is kept in strict confidence, as well.
Financial Aid Timeline
- Complete Oak Grove’s online application and check the box that asks, “Do you plan to apply for Financial Aid?”
- Once your student’s application is submitted, you may begin the FACTS application by clicking the link under our “Tuition and Financial Aid” tab on the school website.
- Re-enrollment contracts, along with financial aid offers, are sent in early February to our current families. New families are notified of financial aid decisions with their enrollment contract in early March.
- Financial aid applications for priority consideration are due January 15th.
Scholarship Opportunities
The aim of these scholarship opportunities is to honor High School students who embody the values of Oak Grove School. Through The Arts of Living and Learning, a framework inspired by the intent and philosophy of our founder J. Krishnamurti, we encourage students to use their minds, their bodies, and their hearts well. The relationships among students, teachers, and parents and the emphasis on inquiry and self-knowledge offer High School students a rich climate for learning. Not every scholarship is available each year. All scholarships are need-based and require a financial aid application as well. Please communicate with the admisisons team when considering applying for a scholarship.
