How many years have you worked at Oak Grove?
Since 2022.
Why do you work at Oak Grove?
I have dedicated my career to the foodservice industry. I wanted to find a way to make my work more meaningful and have an opportunity to expand from the pastry side of operations to the savory side.

How do we prepare students for their life ahead?
Nourish them with the food that you would serve to the people you love the most.
What outdoor experience has been most impactful for you?
When I was 19 & 20, I traveled with my culinary team and the archaeology club for Santa Barbara City College. We visited Yosemite and several other CA rock formations and wonders. I got to cook over an open fire for passionate students – early morning meals and late night snacks.
The best live music performance/concert you ever attended is …
I haven’t been to many, but seeing New Kids on the Block with my sister for her 30th Birthday was definitely the most special.
Which teacher in your life affected you greatly? How?
I would say my Chocolate teacher, Chef Robin at CA Culinary Academy. She taught me that you didn’t have to fit into a “Cool Chef” category to be a “good Chef.” She was all about the “stay true to your heart” vibe and mentality and I always carry that with me. I can’t remember things she said, but I will never forget how she made me feel.
Name something that nobody knows about you.
I have a wooden ladder collection.

How many Patagonia clothing items do you own? How many are you wearing now?
One and I have never worn it. It’s a windbreaker that is too small for me, I inherited from a friend.
Anything Extra?
Thank you for such a kind, warm welcome to the team. I am excited to be here.
