Happy 50th Birthday!

On September 15, 2025, we marked a big milestone: Oak Grove School’s 50th birthday!

What began 50 years ago, with just a few children and teachers sitting cross-legged in the grass, has blossomed into a vibrant, thriving community.

This morning, our students gathered for a joyful assembly where we sang a special Happy Birthday Oak Grove song, before heading to the field to form a giant 50 – a living symbol of our past, present, and future.

As our Head of School, Jodi Grass, shared: “The art of education is not separate from the art of living. It is found in the quiet moments of care, in the courage to inquire, in the joy of play, and in the relationships we nurture every day. May we carry forward the spirit of those who came before us, and may we, in turn, plant seeds of love and understanding for the generations still to come.”

Here’s to 50 years of learning and growing together. Happy birthday, Oak Grove!

Unplug Day is an opportunity for us to demonstrate unplugging for our students and challenge ourselves to focus more on the present moment. This year, we celebrated our Unplug Day by dressing in our theme of the 1970s – a time when much of our current technology was not yet available. There were bell bottoms, oversized sunglasses, and flower power galore.
