Why We Give
The Hill-Guerra Family
“In today’s fast-paced, screen-filled world, Oak Grove stands out as a breath of fresh air: a low-tech space focused on outdoor learning, mindfulness, and real connections.”
Hello, we are Courtney Guerra and Derek Hill, parents of Hudson (3rd) and Circe (1st). We have called Oak Grove home since 2020.
At Oak Grove, our kids come home with more than lessons – they bring stories of digging in the garden, epic tales from the Gaga ball pit, or exploring their creativity in theater, music, and art classes. It’s a place that feels like home, and we’re grateful every day to be part of it.
In today’s fast-paced, screen-filled world, Oak Grove stands out as a breath of fresh air: a low-tech space focused on outdoor learning, mindfulness, and real connections. We know how rare that is – many families wish they could give their children the same gift. That’s why we donate: it’s our way of giving back, playing an active role to help the school thrive and keep doors open for everyone.
Our contributions help offset tuition for other families in a small but meaningful way, and they also support the growth of those vital extras – the garden that teaches patience, sports that build teamwork, theater and the arts that spark creativity. These aren’t add-ons; they’re what make learning come alive.
From our family to yours: if Oak Grove has touched your life, consider joining us in this circle of support. Together, we keep the magic going.
With heartfelt thanks,
The Hill Family
