A heartfelt thank you to all our former students, staff, and friends of Oak Grove who joined us at our 2024 Alumni Gathering on campus.
Each year, 8th and 12th grade students embark on capstone projects each year that lead them away from the classroom and into the world beyond.
Student articles, essays, and opinion pieces include submissions on food production, our environment, local restaurants, school sports, rocket launches, and more. Find poetry and art from across all grade levels and enjoy student riddles and games!
Currently living and working in Las Vegas, 2008 alumni Kahdija Murray is a visual artist and musician, who works under the alias Dija Ouija.
Enjoy video and photos from this year’s High School Spring Showcase highlighting student work in studio arts, ceramics, woodworking, & music.
This May, Oak Grove’s 5th grade class ventured out on a four-day/three-night excursion to one of the country’s most widely recognized national parks, Joshua Tree.
Career Night is one example of how community members play a pivotal role as mentors and role models in our students’ educational foundation.
Our inaugural Theme Week looked at our theme for the school year: The Wholeness of Responsibility through the lens of social justice.
Each year, our Middle School students in the 7th and 8th Grades complete an apprenticeship, spending a day to enter the “world of work.”
This month we had the pleasure of hosting alumni Peter Hu ‘18 and Lewis Lu ‘19 during their stay in Ojai.

Last weekend, a group of our high school and 8th grade students backpacked up Horn Canyon to The Pines campground on Friday evening and spent time continuing to restore the campground—pulling weeds, cutting back brush, leveling tent areas, and helping with general camp maintenance.
On Saturday afternoon, a group hiked up to the ridge and towards Chief’s Peak, enjoying incredible views of the Ojai Valley, and all the way out to the Channel Islands.
We headed back to town on Sunday morning with tired bodies, but energized souls.
It was a rewarding experience, a great adventure, and a lot of fun. We’re grateful for the students’ hard work and adventurous spirit, and we look forward to more opportunities for trips like this in the future.
Thanks to everyone who participated and supported!

"More than 50 years ago, in the spring of 1975, Fred Hall, then editor of the Ojai Valley News, asked philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti a simple but pointed question: In a valley already full of public and private schools, why start another one?"
We are so grateful to Ojai Magazine for featuring our 50th Anniversary in this compelling article written by Kerstin Kuhn. Enjoy the full article by picking up your very own copy or enjoy the full article online here by visiting the Lizard Blog (linktree in bio).
