The Stanford psychologist, Carol Dweck said: “If parents want to give their children a gift, the best thing they can do is to teach their children to love challenges, be intrigued by mistakes, enjoy effort, and keep on learning.” How can we extend this philosophy to our larger learning community of teachers, coaches, and staff members?

Our Fall camping trips are designed to bring the High School (9th-12th) and the Middle School (6th-8th grade) together early in the year to orient and integrate new and returning students and teachers.

For our first Lizard Talks series of the year, we welcomed Geetha Waters. Geetha, parent of Oak Grove School alum Jayson Waters ’10, is an educator and writer, who facilitates programs at the Krishnamurti Study Centre in Summer Hill, Australia.

Today was our first day of school! There were hops and skips, and hugs and high-fives all around as we said hello to our returning students and welcomed our new incoming students.

Congratulations to our Second Grade Teacher Karen and Science Enrichment Teacher Eric, whose Roxaboxen student project won an IMPACT II award.

Oak Grove School celebrated its 12 graduating seniors last week. During their commencement ceremony, which took place in the beloved oak-bordered Pavilion on the Oak Grove campus on June 9th, students, teachers, parents and the wider community gathered to commemorate the class of 2023.

Digital Media class offers students many ways to explore the power of image making, storytelling, and conveying messages through digital art, digital photography, and video.

Through student assemblies, class meetings, faculty and staff in-service, and parent education, students of all ages, parents and staff will have the opportunity to engage with Benjamin throughout his stay in April.
