Certainly, this is a place where the children are seen and known, a place where adults and children ask meaningful questions together and individually without the limits of an answer. But is this an oasis?
Enjoy this special end-of-year booklet by Garden Teacher and Consultant Arianne Swaffer. Under her thoughtful guidance, students learn how the garden is a place to care for plants and soil while caring for oneself.
More than just an educational outing, the eighth-grade field trip to The Museum of Tolerance was an immersive experience that challenged perceptions and prejudices, evoked deep emotions, and inspired a commitment to fostering a more inclusive world.
Featuring creative work from high school elective classes, including studio art, ceramics, woodworking, photography, dance, poetry, and music.
Over the past three years, 6th grade students have embarked on a truly unique and meaningful journey breath, reflection, & inner discovery.
Failure is not separate from learning. When a child fails, something essential happens – which we see if we are attentive. In this world of comparison, failure can turn into shame. We live in a culture that idolizes success and recoils at failure. This conditioning can seep into how we raise and educate our children.
Fifth graders visited Apricot Lane Farms, exploring regenerative polyculture systems, which work with nature rather than against it.

Last weekend, a group of our high school and 8th grade students backpacked up Horn Canyon to The Pines campground on Friday evening and spent time continuing to restore the campground—pulling weeds, cutting back brush, leveling tent areas, and helping with general camp maintenance.
On Saturday afternoon, a group hiked up to the ridge and towards Chief’s Peak, enjoying incredible views of the Ojai Valley, and all the way out to the Channel Islands.
We headed back to town on Sunday morning with tired bodies, but energized souls.
It was a rewarding experience, a great adventure, and a lot of fun. We’re grateful for the students’ hard work and adventurous spirit, and we look forward to more opportunities for trips like this in the future.
Thanks to everyone who participated and supported!
